Ingredients of Snickers semifreddo
- You need 55 grams of sugar.
- Prepare 4 box of eggs.
- Prepare 500 ml of whipped cream.
- You need 3 packages of snickers.
- You need 50 grams of 70% chocolate.
- Prepare 1 small of vanilla stick.
Jamie starts his Semifreddo recipe by roughly chopping up his three Snickers (or Marathon) bars. He places them (but saving a few pieces) into a mixing bowl over hot water, and slowly melts, moving it around with a whisk occasionally. Jamie then separates his four eggs. Papa's snickers semifreddo is meant to be eaten semi-frozen, with the texture of a frozen mousse.
Snickers semifreddo instructions
- put an earthenware bowl in the freezer to cool.
- beat the sugar, the vanilla marrow and egg yolk to a white mass.
- beat in another bowl the whipped cream until it's firm.
- beat in a third bowl the eggwhites firm with a pinch of salt.
- cut up the chocolate and Snickers and melt almost all snicker bits and all the chocolate au bain marie.
- add the whipped cream to the egg yolk mixture.
- add the eggwhites next and gently mix with a metal spoon.
- put half of the mixture into the cooled bowl from the freezer.
- mix the softened chocolate and Snickers to the remaining mixture.
- add the chocolate mixture to the cooled bowl and use a spoon to marble the mix.
- add the tensing pieces of Snickers to the top.
- cover the bowl with cling film and put in the freezer for at least 4 hours.
- remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.
