Very Simple Pesto. The recipe was very easy to make and was totally worth it for the absolutely delicious pesto sauce. It had a very fresh basil taste with a nice subtle hint of garlic and pine nuts. Combine basil leaves, pine nuts or walnuts and garlic in a food processor and process until very finely minced.

  3. You need 7 of (Basil) olives.
  4. You need 25 ml of Olive oil.
  5. Prepare 25 grams of Parmesan cheese.
  6. It's 1 of Garlic piece.
  7. It's 1 of Grinded pepper.
  8. It's 5 ml of Any vinegar.

Very Simple Pesto instructions

  1. Put all the basil and pine nuts in the mortar, grind it until it is nice and smooth..
  2. Slice the olives and the piece of garlic in little pieces and grind ad well, put in the cheese too..
  3. Now add the vinegar, I prefer balsamic vinegar, but it's up to you. Also add some pepper and a little olive oil. Grind it one more time to make sure there are no big olive chunks any more and everything is mixed well..
  4. This is a optional step; put any bread you like in the oven. Before putting it in the oven, put some olive oil on top of the bread pieces. Heat the oven on 180°F Celcius and remove the bread from the oven when they are nice, golden and crunchy. Smear the pesto on top of the toast. Bon apetit!.

This "simple pesto pasta" can be made even more simple. Second I saved myself a pan to wash by just tossing the pasta with the pesto (I used homemade) and butter. I love this recipe as it's so quick and easy. I used half basil and half spinach for added vitamins. You only need to add a little oil to the top of the jar once it's made to stop it drying out.
